Three ways to calculate engagement rate
This calculator divides by followers, which works for any account, including ones you do not own. If you have access to an account's analytics, dividing by reach or impressions tells you more about how the people who actually saw a post responded.

Example: a post with 120 likes and 18 comments on an account with 8,000 followers has an engagement rate of (120 + 18) ÷ 8,000 × 100 = 1.7% by followers. If the same post reached 3,200 people, it is 4.3% by reach. Pick one method for your reporting and keep it, because switching methods moves the number more than your content does.
