Blog & product feeds

Auto-post new blog articles and products to social media

Connect your blog or online store once. Every time you publish an article or add a product, Orbin writes a post for your social accounts, ready for your review.

Blog and product feeds connect Orbin to your blog’s RSS or Atom feed, or to your store’s product feed. Orbin checks the feed every 30 minutes, and when a new article or product appears it writes an on-brand post for each connected network, with the item’s image and link. Posts wait for your review; on Business and above they can publish automatically.

Step by step

How blog and product feeds work

1

Paste your blog or store URL

Orbin finds the feed for you: the RSS or Atom feed on a blog, or the product feed on a Shopify or WooCommerce store. For other stores, paste a Google Merchant feed URL. There is no plugin to install.

2

Choose accounts and timing

Pick the connected accounts each feed posts to, how long after an item appears its post should go out, and any instructions for the AI, such as an offer to mention.

3

Publish on your site as usual

Everything already in the feed is recorded, not posted. From then on, each new article or product gets its own post in your brand voice, with its image and a tracked link.

4

Review, or let it publish

Posts land in AI Drafts for approval. On Business and above you can turn review off for a feed so new items are scheduled automatically.

What you get

What Blog & Product Feeds includes

Works with the platform you already use

WordPress, Ghost, Substack, Wix, Squarespace, and any site with an RSS or Atom feed. Shopify and WooCommerce stores are detected from the store URL, and a Google Merchant feed covers most other stores.

Copy written for each network

Every network gets its own version within its character limit. Links go where they are clickable (Facebook, LinkedIn and X) and Instagram captions get a “link in bio” call to action instead.

Facts from your feed, not invented ones

The AI writes only from the article or product itself. Product posts can quote the price in your feed, and per-feed instructions let you add the details you always want mentioned.

Images and tracked links

The article or product image is attached, so Instagram posts are ready to publish. Links carry UTM tags, so your analytics show the visits each network sends.

Built not to flood your accounts

  • Nothing old gets posted. Connecting a feed records everything already in it. Only items that appear afterwards become posts, and items dated before you connected are ignored.
  • A cap on bursts. At most three new items become posts per check. If you import a batch of products, the rest are listed as skipped and you can draft any of them yourself.
  • Review is the default. Feed posts are saved as drafts for your approval. Automatic publishing is a Business-and-above option that you turn on per feed.

Good to know

  • Feeds are checked every 30 minutes, so a post is usually drafted within about half an hour of an item appearing in the feed.
  • Each post a feed creates uses one AI credit.
  • Instagram requires an image. Items without one are posted to your other accounts only.
  • Orbin reads public feeds. A password-protected store or a feed behind a login cannot be connected.
  • How many feeds you can connect depends on your plan; see the table above.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I automatically post my blog to social media?+

In Orbin, open Content Feeds, paste your blog’s address or RSS feed URL, and choose the accounts to post to. Each new article then gets an AI-written post with its image and link, saved as a draft for your review or, on Business and above, scheduled automatically.

Can Orbin post new Shopify or WooCommerce products to Instagram and Facebook?+

Yes. Paste your store URL and choose Store. Orbin reads the product feed Shopify and WooCommerce stores already publish, so there is no app or plugin to install, and drafts a post for each new product with its photo and price.

Will it post everything that is already on my blog or store?+

No. When you connect a feed, its existing items are recorded but not posted. Only articles and products that appear afterwards become posts. You can still create a draft from any older item by hand.

What is an RSS feed, and do I need to find mine?+

An RSS or Atom feed is a list of your latest articles that most blogging platforms publish automatically. You usually do not need to find it: paste your blog’s address and Orbin locates the feed. If it cannot, paste the feed URL, which often ends in /feed, /rss.xml or /atom.xml.

Which plans include blog and product feeds?+

Every plan. Starter includes 1 feed, Professional 5 and Business 20; Enterprise has no limit. On Starter and Professional every feed post waits for your review. Business and above can publish them automatically.
