To schedule a post, click New Post, write it, choose your accounts, and on the Schedule step pick Schedule post and a date and time. The post then appears on your Content Calendar and publishes automatically at that time.
Schedule a post
- Click New Post and write your caption, or use AI assist.
- In the Platforms step, choose the accounts to publish to.
- In the Schedule step, choose Schedule post.
- Pick a date and time. You can use a quick option such as Tomorrow, 9:00 AM, Next Monday, 10:00 AM, or This evening, 6:00 PM, or enter any date and time.
- Review the previews in the last step and confirm.
Repeat a post
On the Schedule step, switch on Repeat this post and choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. You can also set an end date. Orbin shows when the next occurrence will happen.
Time suggestions
On Professional and above, the Schedule step shows Best times for you above the date picker. Orbin ranks the days and hours in which your own published posts earned the highest engagement rate, and each suggestion shows how far above your average it was. Click one to use its next occurrence, shown in your browser's time zone.
- Suggestions use the network you are posting to when you pick exactly one, and all of your networks otherwise.
- They need at least 10 published posts with collected metrics. Until then you see Good times to try, general weekday windows for the network that are labelled as general guidance and are not based on your data.
- A single lucky post in a quiet hour will not top the list: Orbin weights slots by how many posts back them up and looks at the neighbouring hours too.
- On the Starter plan the section shows a note that best times are included on Professional.
Below that, Quick times of day (Morning, Lunch, Evening, Night) are common posting windows on every plan and are not personalized to your audience. The best-times heatmap in Analytics shows the full picture behind the suggestions.
Autopilot
In AI Autopilot → Schedule → Preferred times, click Use my best times to fill each weekday's times from the same suggestions, converted into the schedule's time zone. Nothing is saved until you click Save schedule. Once any weekday has times, Autopilot posts only on weekdays that have them.
Time zones
Times in the scheduler use your browser's time zone, and the scheduler shows which time zone that is. Check it before you schedule for an audience in another region.
Manage scheduled posts
- Open the Content Calendar to see everything you have queued, in a Month, Week, or Day view.
- Drag a draft, scheduled, or failed post to another day in the Month or Week view. It keeps its time of day, and you cannot drop it onto a time that has already passed.
- Click a post to edit it, duplicate it, or cancel its schedule. Cancelling moves the post back to your drafts.
Drafts
If you are not ready to commit to a time, save the post as a draft. Find your drafts on the Posts page by setting the status filter to Draft. Posts written by AI Autopilot waiting for your approval are on the AI Drafts page.
Limits
How many posts you can schedule each month depends on your plan. See Pricing. For more about the calendar, see Content Calendar.
