You can connect LinkedIn in two ways: your personal profile, or one or more company pages you administer. Open Social Accounts → Connect Account, then click Connect next to LinkedIn for your profile, or Connect a company page instead for a page.
Connect your personal profile
- Open Social Accounts in the sidebar and click Connect Account.
- Click Connect next to LinkedIn.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the request. Orbin asks to read your basic profile and to post on your behalf.
- Your profile appears in your accounts list.
Connect a company page
- Open Social Accounts and click Connect Account.
- Under LinkedIn, click Connect a company page instead.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the request. Orbin asks to read the pages you administer and to post on their behalf.
- Orbin finds every company page you administer. If there is more than one, you see a list with all of them selected. Untick any you do not want, then confirm.
You need to be an administrator of a company page to connect it. Personal and company connections are separate, so you can connect both.
Before you start
- In Orbin, you need to be a workspace Admin or Owner. Members and Viewers cannot connect accounts.
- Your plan limits how many accounts you can connect. Each company page counts as an account.
Posting to LinkedIn from Orbin
- LinkedIn posts can be up to 3,000 characters, and Orbin shows a live count.
- You can schedule LinkedIn posts like any other network. See How to schedule posts.
For network-specific details, see Schedule LinkedIn posts.
Troubleshooting
- No company pages appear. You are probably not an administrator of any company page with the account you signed in with. Check your role on LinkedIn, then try again.
- The account shows an expired-access notice. Click Reconnect and approve the request again.
