To connect Facebook, open Social Accounts → Connect Account, choose Facebook, log in, and select the Page you want to manage. Orbin connects Facebook Pages, not personal profiles.
Who can connect
- In Orbin, you need to be a workspace Admin or Owner. Members and Viewers cannot connect or remove accounts.
- On Facebook, you need a role on the Page itself, such as full control. If the Page belongs to a Business portfolio, make sure you are assigned a role on the Page directly. Being a member of the portfolio alone is sometimes not enough.
- Your plan limits how many accounts you can connect. Orbin shows a notice when you reach it.
Steps
- Open Social Accounts in the sidebar and click Connect Account.
- Click Connect next to Facebook.
- Log in to Facebook if asked. On the permissions screen, leave every permission switched on and choose the Pages you want to share with Orbin.
- Back in Orbin, if you shared more than one Page, you will see a list with all of them selected. Untick any you do not want, then confirm.
- Each Page appears in your accounts list.
Permissions Orbin requests
Orbin requests these so that publishing, analytics, and comment replies work.
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
pages_show_list | Showing which Pages you can connect |
pages_manage_posts | Publishing and scheduling posts to the Page |
pages_read_engagement, read_insights | Reading likes, comments, reach, and impressions for analytics |
pages_manage_engagement, pages_read_user_content, pages_manage_metadata | Receiving comment notifications, reading comments, and posting replies, for AI comment replies |
business_management | Finding Pages that are owned by a Business portfolio |
If you decline a permission, the features that depend on it will not work.
Troubleshooting
- "Facebook didn't grant Orbin permission to see your Pages." On the Facebook login screen, keep every Page permission enabled (choose Opt in to all), then connect again.
- No Pages appear. You probably do not have a role on any Page, or you are signed in to a different Facebook account. Check your role on the Page, then try again.
- The account shows an expired-access notice. Facebook revoked access, for example after a password change or removing Orbin from your Facebook settings, or after you lost your role on the Page. Click Reconnect on the account and approve the permissions again.
