Getting started with Orbin

A short orientation to your Orbin workspace, from connecting a social account to scheduling your first post.

Last updated

To publish your first post in Orbin, connect a social account, write a post, and either publish it or schedule it for later. The steps below take a few minutes.

1. Connect a social account

Open Social Accounts in the sidebar, click Connect Account, and choose a network. Orbin uses each network's own login screen, so your network password is never shared with Orbin. Only workspace admins can connect accounts.

Step-by-step guides: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.

2. Set your brand voice

Go to Settings → Workspace. Add your industry, and in Brand voice set a tone, keywords to favor, and how much emoji to use. Orbin's AI uses these when it drafts posts, so they sound more like your business and less like a generic assistant.

3. Create your first post

Click New Post. The composer has four steps: Content, Platforms, Schedule, and Review.

  • Write your caption, or use AI assist to generate one.
  • Pick the accounts to publish to. Each network shows its own character count against its limit, and Orbin warns you if the post is too long. Instagram needs at least one image or video.
  • Choose Publish now or Schedule post.
  • On the review step, check the preview for each network, then send.

4. Check your calendar

Everything you schedule appears on the Content Calendar, where you can drag a post to a new day. See How to schedule posts.

5. Turn on Autopilot (optional)

On Professional and above, AI Autopilot drafts and schedules on-brand posts for you each week. Drafts wait for your approval by default. See How AI Autopilot works.
